London will elect a new mayor on 05 May 2016 and we should be praying, both for the campaign and for the outcome. Let’s pray that the campaign is conducted in an atmosphere of grace and truth, with facts and not false rumours being the basis for the debate.
If you want to be part of that debate, there’s a hustings event happening tomorrow night that you can pray for, or even attend. Below is an article from the Evangelical Alliance, one of the hosts of the event.

Ahead of London going to the polls in May the Evangelical Alliance is partnering with Churches Together in England to put together a hustings event for Christians in the capital to come and quiz the candidates.
Confirmed candidates attending:
- Sian Berry, Green Party
- Zac Goldsmith, Conservative Party
- Sadiq Khan, Labour Party
- Caroline Pidgeon, Liberal Democrat Party
- Peter Whittle, UKIP
The debate between the candidates from the major parties who want to be London’s next mayor will be chaired by BBC journalist turned priest Christopher Landau.
